The evening sun lights up a single tuft of grass among the heather.
— Bushwhacks always take longer than expected. It took an afternoon of steep climbing from the shores of Tutka Bay, under spruce and around small cliffs. We finally reached the first patch of alpine meadows just in time for the late evening sun to grace our campsite.
