— Habitat: Rocks. Subtidal. Found on bricks attached to Seldovia Harbor settling plates, fall 2016. Also found in Seldovia Harbor fall 2013.
Description: No stalk, base is squat. Body is pale to orange, with prominent transverse wrinkles and no longitudinal wrinkles. Siphons are red and close together with wart-like bumps near the siphon.
Notes: From Van Name, S. rustica is the only one with a similar fold pattern. This one lacks the 'horn' between the siphons (which S. rustica only has sometimes). I put your Seldovia #9 (fall 2013, under S. truncata folder), in with these. Notes on that from Linda McCann say it is probably S. rustica or S. truncata, both of which have been reported from AK. I also have looked at this guide from SE AK: http://www.naturebob.com/sites/default/files/Aaron%20Baldwin%20Sealife%20of%20SE%20Alaska%2008-15-15.pdf , which has a species that looks the same listed as S. coriacea.
